The textile industry move to the South-East Asia in the early 1990s has affected many smaller and local cloth designers and manufacturers. While the textile factories were mostly located outside of the big metropolises the entire regions have been suffering negative consequences since.
At LUMA we would like to help the affected individuals and their families. Therefore our unique products are produced only per hand, in local manufacturing facilities (located in Berlin-Brandenburg region) and from sustainable fabrics.
The sustainable fabrics used for the production of the LUMA bowties are exclusively organic materials and for the most part also GOTS certified (GOTS = Global Organic Textile Standard).
The collection is arranged in three parts: Cushiony Cotton (bow ties are made purely of organic cotton), Natural Linen (combination of organic linen and organic satin or organic silk) and Magnificent Silk. read more

CUSHIONY COTTON
◦ 100% ORGANIC COTTON ◦
The base for the Cushiony Cotton bow ties is the sustainable cotton (GOTS certified). Here classics with a touch of ornaments can be found as well as a wide selection of colourful bow ties.
The elegant and stylish ties can be worn for everyday as well as special occasions.
In this part of the collection you can find the following bow ties: Adam, Marcus, Marko, Bane, Dario, Viktor, Gal, Oliver and Lev.
NATURAL LINEN

65% Semi Linen + 35% Satin
The Natural Linen selection praises structured semi-linen in combination with shimmering grey satin. As the Cushiony Cotton bow ties also the Natural Linen ones can be worn with everyday/casual outfits as well as with the formal ones.

65% Semi Linen + 35% Silk
A great combination of organic semi-linen and organic silk expresses the unique structures. These bow ties stand out in particular to monochrome shirts and give the look a vibe of liveliness and wisdom.

MAGNIFICENT SILK

75% Organic satin + 25% Peace silk
These unique bow ties crown the collection. The distinctive Peace silk (also known as Ahimsa silk) in combination with the organic satin make these bow ties a true eye-catcher. They are worn well with bright shirts and can therefore be worn for everyday as well as special occasions.

100% Organic silk
An elegant and stylish companion, which captivates with a fine and shiny organic silk. The delicate structure of Luka with the deep dark blue can therefore be worn in different evening wear and will always give them a clear, exclusive expression. This bow tie is for special moments and very festive.
